You can save different settings with different profile names, perhaps depending on your activity or who is using the machine. A good rule here is to follow 20-20-20 rule to keep your vision intact for a healthy future. That should be sufficient for most people. Stay focus on what you do and take advantage of an easy way. The Rest Reminder feature lets you set pop-up reminders at 5-minute intervals, noting when it's time to step away from the screen for a while. It’s super inconspicuous as far as these apps go it sits on your menu bar while you go about your business, quietly counting the minutes until your next small break. Instead of the balloon, you can blackout the screen (with a get out button!), which drives the point home harder, or even replace the desktop with another image. Rest Reminder Taking a brief 10-minute rest every half hour or so, or adopting the 20-20-20 rule, can help prevent eye strain. Awareness (Mac, Windows) Awareness is a free app for Mac and Windows that gets you to take regular breaks without getting in the way. If however you find yourself ignoring it, and straining your eyes anyway, you can change the settings. Basic setup means it will remind you to take rest your eyes every 10 minutes for one minute, doing so through a little pop up balloon.
